About this maritime painting
The painting is inspired by the maritime ambiance of a summer sailing regatta: waves, water reflections, wind, sailboats, sunshine... painted with verve, it creates a vibrant work that transports the viewer mentally to the sea.
Since I live in Flensburg on the Baltic Sea and enjoy walking there, it's a great pleasure for me to gather inspiration for a painting like this: feeling the wind in my hair, smelling the sea, hearing the sound of the waves and the cries of seagulls, seeing the movement of color in the water and sky, watching sailboats...
